The Plug Project

The Plug Project provides culturally responsive services for Black youth and families that includes counselling, family supports, health relationships, life-managements and decision making. The project helps Black youth that come into conflict with the education system. The main objective is to connect students who are facing suspension and/or expulsion with:

  • Information and resources about School Disciplinary processes and the Rights and Responsibilities of students and parents;
  • Early identification of challenges and intervention by working with Black students and families as well as the school system; and
  • Provides legal advice, representation and advocacy.
